ESD 2

ESD 2 system (Electronic Seed Driver) is a simple and modular system for integrated high-tech control and monitoring of the electrification of planters (one per single row) and fertiliser distributors (one for every two rows), by means of Brushless motors: thus, eliminating all mechanical seed drill transmission.

Functional Features and Advantages

The sowing control and monitoring system can be managed via dedicated VT or to be ISOBUS interfaced with the most popular GPS on the market, guaranteeing the functionalities envisaged by the Tractor’s ISOBUS system.

FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES

The modular design enables you to select a complete system or just the desired components, connect them to the network and configure them with an MC Elettronica system, or other systems on the market.
It is possible to add the ECU-BRIDGE module to standard components of the system making the seed drill ISO-BUS 11783 compatible by using the Universal Terminals on the tractors.
Reduction in set-up times during seed drill preparation according to the crop to sow.
More precise and even sowing as a result of eliminating mechanical tolerances.
VARIABLE RATE sowing, with prescription maps.
Regulation of the sowing distance directly from the monitor without getting out of the tractor.
Elimination of sowing overlap.
Automatic row closing with GPS interface.
Increase in sowing speed up to 15 Km/h, if permitted by the seed drill.

TECHNICAL DATA

The ESD system consists of:

Virtual Terminal series SLIM 7” with a colour touch-screen display and backlit keyboard, to manage all seed drill functions, electric motors, sowing control and rows exclusion;
ECU GATEWAY control unit for the management of CAN-BUS of all system sensor components, seed sensors and motors;
ESD 2 modules installed on each row, which comprise a Brushless motor and its electronic driver. They adjust seeding disc rotation according to the feed-rate based on the programmed sowing distance;

Optional:

the ECU BRIDGE ISOBUS control unit makes it possible to interface the MC electronic systems with the most commonly found ISOBUS Universal Terminals (of different brands and features);
Seed sensors (bracket or pipe) for seed detection regardless of size.
Wiring harness to connect all components;

Optional:

CAN-BUS wiring harness with the Trimble GPS.
