The history of MC Electronics

Claudio Mantovani starts the activity in a 50 m2 workshop, designing the first electronic instruments to be used on the family’s agricultural vehicles.

• Creation of the MC ELETTRONICA brand name.
• The company starts selling sowing control systems and hectare counters for the area’s farmers.

• The workshop is expanded to 300 m2.
• Start of sales through the Italian dealer network.

• First gold medal at the competition for technological innovations for agriculture at the Agricultural Fair of Verona, for the creation of SODOSEM, an innovative piece of equipment for sowing on hard ground.

Second gold medal at the competition for technological innovations for agriculture at the Agricultural Fair of Verona, for the creation of a new seed drill for hard ground.

Extension of the sales network to OEM customers in Europe and Latin America.

Construction of a new 1700 m2 factory on an area of 5300 m2, with offices, laboratories and production area.

• Design of a new product range, which has adopted the CAN-BUS J1939 technology.
• TÜV Italy certifies the company’s ISO 9001 / VISION 2000 quality management system.

• Start of the collaboration with Bondioli&Pavesi, which continues until 2008.
• The brand name is updated.

MC Elettronica becomes a member of MIUR (Italian Ministry for Education, Universities and Research) and, at the same time, develops an ISOBUS 11783 software platform that allows communication between the tractor and agricultural equipment.

• Creation of a new product range with graphic displays.
• The brand name is updated.

MC Elettronica is part of the AEF Italy consortium (Agricultural Industrial Electronics Foundation) to develop products with ISOBUS 11783 technology.

Restyling of the company’s headquarters: new offices, construction of a testing laboratory with adjacent anechoic chamber.

• Stipulation of a collaboration agreement between MC Elettronica and the CNR (Italian National Research Council) for the study and development of products for the Automotive sector.
• The brand name is updated.

• Foundation of MC Academy.
• Expansion of the distribution network throughout Europe.

• Start of collaboration with important partners in the Precision Farming sector (AvMap, Trimble, Topcon).
• The company starts building components for precision sowing and row sowing.

• MC Elettronica earmarks 5 ha of land for experimental fields, aiming to test the new products on the field.
• ISO 9001:2015 adaptation.
