The customer, Matermacc, has expressed the need to manage the variations in speed and sowing ratio automatically in Mechanical Precision Seeding Drills. They also wanted to improve the sowing speed performance and accuracy and precision, maintaining and, if possible, improving reliability over time.
MC Elettronica, with over 40 years’ experience in the field of Electronic Components and Systems for Sowing, has thought of electrifying the disc distributor device, which is present in the sowing element, and to manage it in an automated way with a ECU controlled motor driver with MC proprietary logic. This system, called ESD (Electronic Seed Driver), consisting of a kit made up of a brushless electric motor, motor driver, ECU with an Isobus bridge, enables you to increase the sowing speed to extreme levels and manage seed dropping with maximum precision and also independent distribution of granular fertiliser. The development carried out in collaboration with the R&D offices of MC and Matermacc has led to the development of a Seed Drill with revolutionary performance compared to the original model, all with reliability even higher than the mechanically driven version.
Thanks to the excellent results obtained in terms of performance, system flexibility and reliability, as well as easy transformation, the customer has decided to set a new seed drill range based on MC proprietary technology.
